mind of a scientist

As a kid I dreamt of becoming a scientist. For me scientist was a kind of lonely person isolated from the world and has only his work in his mind. My hero was Archimedes for obvious reasons!!As years passed my first disappointment was that so called real scientist ‘use reason to foster unreason’ like in the fable of the eighth leg of the spider when it is cut turning it into deaf. I left the so called scientific methodology and thought that being scientific means being analytical in life applying rationality in all walks of life never believe in anything blindly; look for facts and again leaving scope for improvements. Science is an evolution what you believed true today may be proved wrong tomorrow. So be ready to accept it without being stubborn.

3 idiots

Watched this movie twice.Normally I won't see a commercial movie twice.This because of the theme and because of Aamir.I am a great fan of him.Secondly the theme.It is too relevant today.Our education system may collapse because of too much emphasis on mugging and less motivation for creativity or original thinking.No place for knowledge for knowledge sake.A very few only understand the pleasure of knowing things.Recently I have floated the idea of a forum "the questforum" to promote knowledge for knowledge sake.But no takers for it.
The movie of course exaggerated many things.But when you are making a commercial movie it happens i suppose.But it is a good attempt and it is a beginning towards more such movies.
